Presenting an exploration of his semester piece, Thériault gifted us with the intimacy of live performance by a deeper definition. It was not live simply because it was being viewed by our eyes as it was happening, it was live because it was being created in front of our eyes. He spoke to us not from a place of predetermined movement and lines to be said, but from what was really going through his mind in each moment. We were gifted with the knowledge that he didn’t know what he was doing and we were enlivened to join him for the ride.
